911 Reauthorization Proposed
The Executive Office of Public Safety has developed legislation that would reauthorize 911 funding for local Public Safety Answering Points.

MMA hears arguments on wine sales initiative
The MMA declined to take a position on a ballot initiative that would allow cities and towns to license food stores for the sale of wine. The decision, made at an Oct. 3 meeting of the MMA’s Policy Committee on Municipal and Regional Administration, reflects the view that cities and towns would be able to decide whether to grant additional wine licenses in their community if voters approve the ballot question on Nov. 7.
